About photography
I am mainly active in "artistic" photography (nature and experimental
photography) and I have a present collection of more than 12,000 slides 35 mm, more
than 800 slides medium format and about 60,000 digital photos. I use photography
commercially by selling existing photos for publications. I'm also working for
Adobe Stock (form. Fotolia) (
de.fotolia.com),
Panthermedia (
www.panthermedia.net),
Imagebroker (
www.imagebroker.net) and
Waldhaeusl (
www.waldhaeusl.com).
Since 2003 I'm photographing exclusively digital. There are clearly more advantages
than disadvantages. And the technical evolution from the Olympus C-1000L (1998) to
the now used EOS R was really impressive. Photography now has a new dimension.
At the moment I am scanning my slides with a film-scanner to store them digitally
(see computer-page). For 12,000 slides and an average of 10 - 20 slides per day I
think I will be busy for some time.
I also made a bad experience with mold: Although the slides were not mounted
behind glass, a few hundred slides were destroyed by the mold and about 4,000
are affected. There is no hope to save them! If someone made the same experience
and has tips or needs some, so contact me.
A small selection of my photographic "masterpieces" can be found at the
Photogallery.
